If you are applying for the rental assistance you will need the following:

Rental/Contract Agreement from Landlord
W-9 from Landlord
If you are applying for the utility assistance you will need the following:

Utility bill (if bill is in spouse’s name you will need their identification)
If you are applying for the PPE/Food assistance, you will need the following:

We will be onsite to help any tribal members complete their assistance applications and meet the deadline.

The Absentee Shawnee Tribe has declared a State of Emergency for the five counties in the tribes service area. Therefore we will be opening the Little Axe resource center to all tribal members that are without electric this evening beginning at 5:00 pm to 10:00pm. You will have a place to charge your electronics and eat a hot meal. The showers will also be available if you would like to use the facilities. You will need to bring your own toiletries; this will not be provided. The resource center will open daily from 8:30am to 10:00pm, until all power is restored. The multipurpose building on the tribal complex will also be opened beginning Friday October 30,2020 from 8-5pm. This location will allow you to charge your electronics and it will provide snacks and drinks. Due to inclement weather, the Absentee Shawnee Complex will be closed on 10/27/2020. We will evaluate the situation tomorrow for a possible Wednesday reopen. Stay warm and be safe.
The Indian Child Welfare Angel Tree program helps provide Christmas gifts to Absentee Shawnee children and elders, ages 0-17 in AST foster care or in legal guardianship through the AST tribal courts and Elders 65 years and older. Once an angel has been registered and accepted their Christmas wish list is placed on ICW’s Christmas tree for donors to purchase gifts. The gifts are distributed to the family to place under their Christmas tree.

The City of Shawnee will be turning off the water to the Shawnee complex for waterline maintenance. Therefore the Shawnee complex will be closed on Monday, October 12, 2020. We will resume business the following business day, October 13, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. Should you have any question please feel free to contact my office.

Due to the recent number of outbreaks within several departments of the Shawnee campus, the Executive Committee has agreed that no visitors would be allowed during the Special EC meeting, 10/7/2020.
