General Description
This position provides ancillary pharmacy services for patients at the Absentee Shawnee Tribal Clinics. Work involves reviewing insurance claims, finding third-party insurance, inventory management, sourcing medications from wholesalers, and other duties to support the department’s objectives. The position reports to the Pharmacy Insurance Inventory Specialist Manager and the Pharmacy Director.
Responsibilities & Duties
Responsible for reviewing all their-party claims and ensuring accuracy (multi-site).
Responsible for keeping inventory costs down by identifying and managing inventory trends (multi-site).
Will prepare monthly reports documenting insurance and inventory trends (multi-site).
Will be responsible for creating educational materials for technicians and clerks to improve third-party/inventory operations (multi-site).
Must act professionally and relate well to Tribal Members and the general public.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Must be a licensed Pharmacy Technician with 5+ years’ experience.
Extensive experience in third-party pharmacy billing procedures, guidelines, prior authorizations, audits, and drug utilization reviews.
Must have extensive experience with pharmacy inventory control and price research.
Must be computer literate and have proficiency with Liberty RX, Wholesale ordering, Word, Excel
Two (2) year experience working with Tribal and Federal programs that affect Native American communities.
Must be extremely knowledgeable about the Absentee Shawnee Tribal customs and language.
Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver’s license.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must be able to pass a drug screen.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, bend or kneel for long periods of time.
Sitting or standing or walking for long period of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking hearing and visual acuity
Frequent lifting (up to 25 lbs)
Occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs)
