General Description
The Human Resources Generalist will support the HR department in various functions, with a primary focus on employment relations, investigations, employee development, and compliance. This role will involve collaborating with management, maintaining personnel files, assisting with data entry, reports, and conducting exit interviews while analyzing employee trends to foster a positive workplace environment.
Responsibilities & Duties
Employment Relations:
Serve as a point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to employees and management.
Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and concerns, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Collaboration with Management:
Work closely with management to identify employee development needs and implement training programs.
Assist in creating and updating job descriptions to accurately reflect responsibilities and requirements.
Personnel Files Compliance:
Ensure that all employee files are maintained in compliance with legal regulations and internal policies; conduct regular audits of personnel records for AAAHC compliance.
Administrative Support:
Assist with HR reporting and data entry, ensuring all HR-related data is accurate and up-to-date.
Perform additional administrative duties as needed to support the HR department and overall company functions.
Exit Interviews:
Conduct exit interviews for departing employees to gather valuable feedback and insights for retention strategies and workplace improvements.
Employee Trends Analysis:
Analyze employee data and trends to identify patterns that may impact employee satisfaction and engagement; recommend solutions for improvement.
Confidentiality
Performs other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a Human Resources role, with a focus on employment relations and investigations preferred.
Knowledge: Understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment law; knowledge of HRIS systems is a plus.
Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must be able to pass a drug test.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR software applications.
Must be self-motivated, have the ability to prioritize work tasks and be creative with projects.
Must have good organizational skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, bend or kneel for long periods of time.
Sitting or standing or walking for long period of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions.
Ability to drivel to different work offices.
Some travel is required.
