General Description
The incumbent will provide direct outpatient clinical, prevention, and educational services to children, adolescents, and adults; to include crisis intervention.
Responsibilites & Duties
Provides: assessment, orientation, screening/initial intake, develop mutually agreed upon individual and or family treatment and discharge, aftercare planning, services plans.
Meets with patients to obtain information pertinent to providing outpatient mental health counseling services.
Designs a treatment plan tailored to the patient’s individual situation based on knowledge of mental health issues, mental health illnesses, counseling, and treatment modalities.
Utilizes a combination of individual and group counseling sessions to help the patients, and to observe their attitudes and readiness for accepting guidance.
Meets with family members to educate them on the most useful role that they can play in the patient’s treatment process.
Assist with other staff members in prevention/intervention activities for individuals, families, and the community.
Maintains Service Encounters in EHR, Electronic Health Records, on a daily basis. Modifies the patient’s treatment program as appropriate on the basis of observation.
Documents daily work load, contacts, etc. and will submit a monthly report.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Qualifications
Must have a Master’s Degree in counseling/Mental Health or related field from an accredited university as a License Professional Counselor; License Marriage & Family Therapist; or a License Clinical Social Worker.
At least three years of experience in providing mental health and substance abuse counseling.
Mandatory Requirements:
Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Required to have an OSBI clearance, must not have convictions.
Must possess a valid Oklahoma State Driver’s License.
