General Description

The purpose of this TEMPORARY position is to assist the Procurement Director providing in project management on and service support in overseeing and organizing the emergency construction projects for COVID-19. Maintaining accurate records and ensures compliance with government rules and regulations in support of compliance as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
  • Provide expert guidance on project plan, and development
  • Ensure all appropriate permits, licenses, and inspections are appropriately met
  • Consult with individuals to translate facility requirements
  • Responsible for maintaining budget and design requirements for project
  • Provide daily construction administration and assignments to contractors or construction workers
  • Allocate resources for assigned projects
  • Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
  • Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials and department head.
  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
  • Manage subcontractors to ensure appropriate timelines are met.
  • Coordinate and review weekly progress reports on assigned project and report back to Procurement Director.
  • Maintain, update, and execute ongoing work plans to see project to completion.
  • Archive project documentation.
  • Perform other duties  as  assigned by Procurement Director
Education & Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent of 3 years’ experience with particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position (construction science, architecture, engineering)
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong leadership qualities
  • Deadline and detail orientated
  • Design Software – AutoCad-Revit
  • Ability to read, interpret and evaluate construction drawings and specifications
  • Expert in Bluebeam, Plangrid, MS Office
  • Ability to coordinate and organize goals and efforts of multiple constituencies
  • Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License, and able to pass a background and drug test
  • Must be able to pass a credit check.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to climb, crouch, push, pull, reach, stand, engage in repetitive motions, communicate, hear and see including color, depth perception and clarity.
  • Must be able to lift 75lbs
  • Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to work in extreme environments including in climate weather (extreme heat, cold, and unfavorable conditions) as needed
